I was scrolling and came across this question. I upvoted, scrolled a bit more, and even commented, only to realize the subreddit was meant for women over 40. I laughed at myself and thought, ''What am I doing here?'' So I deleted my comment and decided to post the question here along with my answer.
For me, I used to believe that life isn’t fair, but I’ve come to realize that’s not true. In Islam, there’s a concept: ''لا يكلف الله نفسا إلا وسعها'' which translates to ''Allah does not burden a soul beyond what it can bear''. I once thought the suffering and challenges I faced meant life wasn’t meant for me. But as I grew older, I realized those experiences shaped me, making me more rational and emotionally intelligent. I’ve shifted from being a complete nihilist to seeing myself as an apprentice of life, someone who still has much to learn but also the strength to endure whatever life throws my way.
There are other misconceptions I’ve had, but this is the one that came to mind when I saw the question. How about you?
