Why the hell are we here?

Sometimes it just hits you. Why I am here? Why are humans here? The more you think about it the stranger it gets, almost like a sci-fi movie. Humans for a very long time have lived on earth, nobody from before knows how we got here, where we came from, or what we are doing here. Everyone now, still knows the same. Nobody knows what comes after life. Looking at the massive galaxy we live in we should see some type of life, but it's just us on a giant rock in the middle of nowhere, each of us concerned about the insignificant realities of what appears to be a completely meaningless life. People have tried of course to explain it, some think evolution or religion however all have their gaps. In the end we just don't know.
