Why everyone struggling should join a running group

I see so many posts here about people that feel stuck in life or struggling with mental health or just feeling bored with their routine.

As a person who has dealt with all that, I highly recommend joining a running group, here are my reasons for recommending that.

- There are running groups every where lately, not all are perfect, so if you don't like one try another

- In a running group you get to spent time with people with a seemingly healthy mindset about life, and this is infectious

- They are a low-pressure social environment, you can choose to be outgoing or reserved and nobody will notice or question it

- You will meet diverse people, there will be older, younger, men, women, new to the group, veterans in the group, new to the city, people who grew up in the city, this helps a lot in presenting you with opportunities to meet someone who matches your energy or life situation

- The social proof is easy to beat, social proof is "can you run/walk?", it's the easiest sport to pick up and you can find a group that accommodates slow runners/walkers in almost every city. As long as you do the activity, nobody is gonna wonder why you are there.

- And last but not the least, it's obviously great for your health, both physical and mental

What do you think?

The important thing is to go there with zero expectations, don't expect to make friends, meet men/women, etc, just go there to have a good quality time.
