What is more important to you having a job you like but living in a town you hate or the job is okay but you love the town your in?

I moved for a job promotion 2 years ago and I've been so miserable since. I'm in a town with no friends or family. And some really terrible things have happened to me here. I was offered a job to go back to my hometown but with a little less pay. But I love my hometown. What are your thoughts?
