Thoughts and courage during drinking

So I understand that alcohol lessens an area of your brain that deals with anxiety.

Because of this one may tend to have more courage to say things that they normally wouldn’t “normally” say.

Liquid courage some tend to call it.

Of course there’s a distinction between being sloppy drunk and sayin outlandish ish and just saying something that would normally cause you anxiety because it may be controversial for someone who tends to always play it safe

For context I use to feel weird or cringe about things that I said while on alcohol after I sober up but nothing that I would regret

Would it be smart to use the opportunity to get these things out using alcohol and look at it as training wheels to speaking my mind and increase the volume of things that I THINK are cringe that I say because I like to normally play it safe

Or do you believe this is this the wrong way to look at things
