The People Who Shape Us: Gratitude for Lost Connections

8 hours ago 4

We all grow up surrounded by a group of 100 people, but over time, that circle narrows down to just 3–5 individuals who truly stay with us. Yet, aren’t there also those special people who come into our lives during specific phases and help us excel?

Hey reader, if you’re reading this, it probably means we’re sharing something close to our hearts, yet still distant from gratitude.

In the different phases of life — school, college, internships, and eventually our careers — there are always a few people who guide us, motivate us, and believe in us even when we struggle to believe in ourselves. Unfortunately, some of these connections are lost along the way, often due to misunderstandings or simply things left unsaid.

So, what do we do now? Honestly, I wish I had all the answers — I’d fix my relationships first if I did. But I think the important question is: Did I give it my best? If the answer is yes, then the outcome doesn’t matter. Still, sometimes it does hurt, doesn’t it?
