Should I give up on my dreams?

Hi Reddit, I’m probably going to get a mix of responses here, but I just need to get this off my chest. I’m an extremely old man 55 think long white beard and all—and I’ve spent my whole life working hard, dreaming, and chasing some lofty goals. I have never been married and I have always had trouble finding a girlfriend especially with people my age as they are all married. But there’s one dream I’ve had since I was younger, and it’s… well, to marry an 18-year-old girl.

Now, before you jump to conclusions, let me explain. It’s not about some creepy obsession or midlife crisis turned end-of-life crisis. I think it’s more about the symbolism. Youth, vibrancy, a sense of starting fresh—it’s what I’ve always admired and wanted to connect with. Maybe it’s my way of trying to hold onto hope and vitality as time marches on.
