Saving money and being financially stable and independent.

Hi everyone, I’m a college student. I don’t earn a lot of money each week as I am on the student loan. I’m from Australia and I get around $300 each week during study which gets added to my loan I have to pay back after I complete my degree. I didnt really have many part time jobs during my study this year & am now in my summer holidays. I have acquired three different jobs and will be working them over summer. My rent is around $190 each week which comes from my loan & I have no other savings at all. I’m really keen to travel after I finish my degree which will be at the end of next year. Can anybody help me out with some tips on how to save? I’ve tried and tried but I’m so bad with money and end up buying unnecessary things and it’s hard being young and living out of home (having to pay for everything myself now). Is there any tips someone can provide me with so I can be financially responsible and have the ability to travel / do what I want for a year after my study? It’s super hard, please don’t come at me 🫶. I just want some advice from the older generation (or younger) on how to save. I’ve tried with savings accounts and everything but I end up taking it out again. Obviously working over summer and having 3 jobs I’ll be able to earn a bit of money however, I just really don’t wanna waste it. Anything is appreciated, thanks 🫶🫶
