Not sure where to go in my life

mainly in finding a life partner. I'm not ugly I do pretty well for myself I have a masters and my income is a little over 150k a year living outside the DC area. I'm 35 single with no kids and traveled/lived all over the world. I never prioritized finding a partner because sometimes that can cause career friction. My mother recently retired from her job and expressed some frustration about not having grandkids. Although I do want kids and a wife the whole idea of marrying and someone having access to my finances, access to what direction we go as a family, and how I go about my life is so unappealing to me. Of course too I hear the stories from men that hate their marriage and or lost a lot in a divorce all tell me to not do it. I'm feeling a little pressured and I don't know how to feel about it all.
