What is the meaning of all of this? Are we just a temporary flicker of consciousness, experience and memories and then poof, gone?

How can we be so smart but so in the dark about our reality, 8 billion humans and thousands of years and we still can't all collectively agree on what's going on and why we exist.

What we do know is that we're beings that are floating in infinite space on a floating rock. One floating rock from trillions and trillions that exist out there. Completely shut off from the knowledge of what's going on out there in the universe.
