Mixed emotions

So my company decide to invite me- an intern to the new year company party; usually this is not allow for intern to join the party. But somehow I feel this is unfair for my intern mates, I feel Im getting the special treatments from the company, I dont know I feel mixed in emotions so lately I decided not to go to that party but some of my colleagues said I should join because the company actually cares for me, is this true. What will you do in this situation
