Hey, reddit people!Since I started earning money, I noticed that within two months of starting a full-fledged corporate job, my physical health began to take a backseat, and I started feeling more fatigued and not physically well. So, I did my fair share of research. I found out that the following are really bad for your health, and in the long term, they can also cause severe physical damage to your body.
Sitting too much: I know it is very hard to roam around the office as it is not allowed in many corporate settings, but at least once an hour, go take a roundabout around the office or get some fresh air; it will be a little helpful.
Taking a lot of stress: Take a deep breath, dont panic, dont worry, because stress will not help you complete your deadlines; your sane mind will!
Lack of sleep: When I used to go home, I had very little time to spend with my family or to scroll reels, so I used to sleep until 2 or 3 a.m. even though I knew I had to wake up at 8 a.m.
Excessive use of earbuds or earphones: Do not excessively use earbuds to listen to songs, attend meetings, or for any other reason. They can cause very bad damage to your ears and brain as well. I used to have severe headaches, and then I limited my use of earbuds.
Looking at the screen for too long: Using devices near your body or looking at the screen for too long can be a real stressor. But here's a simple trick, Once every 30 or 40 minutes, look at any other area than your screen and focus on that object. It can really help you feel more relaxed and less tense.
Not drinking enough water: Please, please, please go and get a water bottle and continue sipping it throughout the day. I know it will make you use the loo more, but it is good, na? At least it will allow you to move a little more.
