Ideas that changed your life

I was recently thinking about ideas that had a profound impact on the way I think. Some ideas/aha moments give answers to a lot of things that happen in the world.

One such idea is that evolution can be seen as a reason for a lot of characteristics of living things. For example, dogs are loyal to humans because of evolution/selection. Women prefer wholeness in life while men prefer excellence. Parents have more love for their children than their own parents. A lot of behaviours can be attributed to selection or evolution in general.

I find such ideas extremely satisfying. Let me know yours!
