I don't understand how you are supposed to survive in college and do well enough to land a job

I hate how so many people blame you for not landing any internships or not doing any engineering clubs in college. In college, I applied to hundreds of internships and tried joining the engineering clubs every year because I knew it was important, but I just kept being turned away in the end. I don't know what I should have done differently. Now, no job wants me, and there is no way to get a full time engineering job
