Got a new phone and realised I might live in a bubble

I (24M) recently got a new phone, I switched over my number and kept my other sim on my old phone. So I had the great idea to wait for someone to text/call me to confirm the switch was successful. Waited about 4 days and nothing happened. I mean I’ve never really had the biggest social circle but holy shit ! Didn’t realise it’s this bad. I just caved and asked my brother to test it for me - the switch was successful - so it wasn’t an issue with sim. I just genuinely wasn’t contacted by anyone for anything. In some ways it’s peaceful :) but I don’t want to live in my bubble forever. There’s no real point I’m trying to make with this post, just thought some of you in here might be able to relate.
