free to be corporate slaves.

lol rant incoming, please tell me if this is totally stupid to think like this or if there is some truth to it?

i never realized how far gone things are until i tried to do all of this stuff for myself.

it seems the main thing you are "free" to do is make money to give to the government.

take example, one of the most basic necessities for life. water. are you free to dig a well on a property you "own?" no. even in a spot that meets all of the required rules they set, and if the work is done to meet these rules, it is still not allowed. you need to pay for a licensed contractor to be allowed to drill for water on your "own" land.

you are not even allowed to do the work they require, to be allowed to stay on property that is supposedly yours.

you are not allowed to live simply. you can't build a house that isn't wired with electricity. you need to wire it so it can be connected to a power grid they continuously make money off of. or pay a huge fee for a contactor to do a solar design. even if you do this design to meet every rule they set, it won't be accepted.

all of these forced costs, and rules to build contribute to a higher property value. so that when you finish the work they have required, they will be able to collect more tax money from you. if you dont pay, they can re sell it to someone that will.

it just seems like a huge issue that this happens for the most basic necessities, like water and shelter.

now with the 2024 election its got all of the wage slaves arguing amongst themselves once again. arguing about imaginary decisions between two purposefully polarized "choices". the last time a presidential candidate was chosen by popular vote was 1824. that is 200 years ago now.

so many people doing mental gymnastics to believe that they have any say whatsoever. so many people gasslighting eachother to believe that we should have any control over what another person does.
