college?

I've always wanted to go to college for historical studies ( I like pirates lol) but I've never been able to save enough money to be able to pay even a tiny bit of tuition.

I dropped out of highschool junior year with a low GPA and got my GED, so I'm assuming that scholarships are out of the question, but I genuinely just feel like a failure. I would love to go to college. I am 24 now and feel like I'm running out of time. I want this soooooooo badly.
