anyone ever hold out on a opportunity thinking something better is out there, and then end up with nothing?

idk why this happens and idk how to fix it.

i swear ill say yes to an opportunity, lets say a job and we get started with onboarding. then i look and see there’s a similar job with better pay available! and i’m left feeling like damn.. what if.

so then to mitigate, this time around i’ve been saying no because i know something better will pop up, it always does??? and then it doesn’t!! what the heck life. why.
