Hi everyone. Curious to hear what some of your answers would be to this, erm.. hypothetical.
Here's the situation:
You're a 31M with no kids. You left your wife last year due to her infidelity, after spending your entire adult life with her. You didn't do a great job establishing new friends/connections as an adult because your ex-wife adequately filled your cup, or at least you though so.
You feel directionless in life. And for all intents and purposes, you have no personal belongings except a gaming and work computer, a bunch of clothes, and a vinyl collection.
You're currently living with your cousin in your hometown. You have a good, supportive family and a couple childhood friends in the proximity, though you don't hang out super often.
You recently got a new WFH gig that pays decent, and you're allowed to live anywhere in the US.
You're not looking for a relationship anytime soon, but you're wanting to better yourself, intimately understand who you are (independent of your ex-wife and women in general), meet new friends and establish deep connections, maybe find new hobbies, and generally just explore uncharted territory in life.
What do you do? How do you get your life back on track and create a new, fruitful, fulfilling future for yourself?
Asking for a friend.
:)
