Woke was stolen...

I'm disgusted by what they have done to the term "woke". It was completely hijacked and doesn't actually mean all the things that everyone fights about. Woke historically meant self-aware, independent critical thinker and free thinkers. People who have been awakened to all the bullshit systems of control we are surrounded with. The hippies were onto something. The hijacking was intentionally done because free thinkers can't be controlled. They intentially associated the term with things that would challenge people's beliefs if they weren't free thinking, to keep control of those who are "asleep." An added bonus to stealing the term, is that by doing this and making it so controversial they create a further divide within the country (and world) to ensure people won't unite against the rich and powerful that are robbing us blind, destroying our planet and exploiting our labor. It's like when Hitler stole the swastika from the Buddhist and obscured its message. If you can't critically think, the best way to hide a message from you is to give it a new meaning, everyone fighting about it is just a bonus. This use of the term is just further evidence that there are no parties, aside from a few outliers, it's just rich politicians pretending to represent us, and the working class. That's it.
