With all of the plane crashes recently I was looking into how there was that whistleblower that died by “suicide” in March 2024. He worked for Boeing for 32 years and reported safety and quality issues. What’s also interesting is on google it says there’s been at least 200 whistleblower reports in just this last year alone against Boeing. I don’t understand why Boeing is still in business? Shouldn’t us Americans be concerned about our safety especially when hundreds have died a year due to a greedy company’s negligence? It feels unsettling knowing we pay for a ticket and blindly go on these planes knowing that these companies have had multiple lawsuits regarding failed inspections, being fraudulent when it came to the parts, etc.
Edit: From a google search apparently they paid 2.5 billion dollars to settle the criminal charge. Disappointed but I’m honestly not surprised. The fact that a business like Boeing can kill hundreds and hundreds of people and then get away with it dirt free by just paying billions. Nothing new in America. Yet again we see that businesses and corporations are held at a higher priority than the people.
