I just finished The Art of the Novel by Milan Kundera, and I was amazed by how well he combines depth with simplicity—there's almost no technical jargon at all. It helped me understand other writers better. For example, I used to think people were overhyping Franz Kafka. I also thought his (Franz Kafka) novels were dry and boring, but after reading Milan Kundera, I realized how naive I was.
I have a question: Do you know any similar works where novelists talk about novels and other writers?
