When AI begins to take over more and more aspects of our lives, I have a feeling people will start longing for the "good old days." People currently seem reluctant to admit what's happening: AI is here to stay, and it's taking over at an alarming pace. I see it all over my feeds, with more and more AI-generated photos and videos—some of them incredibly convincing. Soon, it will dominate the media entirely. The essence of what it means to be human will be lost. We may become slaves to AI, completely soulless, or even face a massive population decline. The world will become somber, artificial, and devoid of any uniqueness. To be honest, I don’t see any way to stop AI's takeover, but at the very least, we can choose to be kind to one another now and cherish the last remnants of humanity we still have.
I will say, it feels like we already have many soulless, narcissistic people walking around. It seems like more and more we see people walking around with that empty look in their eyes as they robotically hold their phone up for a selfie or filming someone in distress without even trying to help, just mindlessly recording. Let’s be kind to one another, because one day, we’ll look back on the days when life wasn’t like this (or what it will become)—when we were carefree and young—and wonder how we lost our way as a species, leaving behind the unique qualities that once defined what it meant to be human.
