What things did you realize were lies as you grew up?

As a kid, you hear a lot of things that seem true, but as you get older, you start to question them. For me：

1. "You'll understand when you're older." Some things just don’t make sense, no matter how old you are.
2. "If you work hard enough, you'll succeed." Hard work is important, but there are so many other factors that matter.
3. "Good things happen to good people." Life can be random, and bad things happen to anyone, no matter how good they are.
4. "Time heals all wounds." Time helps, but it doesn’t always fix everything.
5. "Adults have it all figured out." Adults are just as confused as kids, they just hide it better.

It’s funny how the things we take for granted as kids aren’t always true when we grow up.
