What’s the point to wanting it all?

I guess absolute power corrupts absolutely. But as an American I just want some land and a family and to be left alone. I can’t imagine having untold fortunes and working so tirelessly to destroy all economic opportunities for more zeros in the bank account. Why do shadow governments and faceless corporations want to control everything when they’re already got more then they could ever want? Greed is a wild thing.
