What’s in the ocean?

It’s always amazed me, the ocean and its creatures. But one thing that always got to me was. How do we have the ability to “go to space” and not explore the deep ocean?

My personal belief is something is hiding down there, but what? Dormant creatures? A hidden civilization? Proof of something beyond ourselves? We always find these little weird creatures and they are cool. But what if there is something deeper than what we know?

One possibility I had was, if the upper world is dying. What if they’ve made advances to live underwater, or maybe we stumbled upon things that do. What if aliens are here, but we are told they come from above, what if they really come from below? “UFOs” seem to mostly be reported near water. Would make sense they would dive back to the dark deep instead of space. Thoughts?
