What makes us human?

3 weeks ago 17

I asked this question to my friends and myself a few weeks back in my classical mechanics class (yeah I am a physics student). And today perhaps I got some part of the answer.

Recently we had our annual college cultural fest and it was actually going meh. On second day I randomly joined a group of people from other college who were singing folk and traditional songs in their native language.

I couldn't understand single word but the with so much passion and energy radiating from their faces and voices made me stay around and join their crowd. I clapped and danced around with them and it was just so wonderful experience.

I might never ever meet them again after that day but ig this is what makes us actually 'human'. The ability to just seemingly form connections, have a get together, sing songs and spend time with each other.
