We’re often told that happiness is the ultimate goal, but why does contentment—something that feels more attainable and lasting—get overlooked? Is it possible that society conditions us to chase after fleeting moments of happiness, while portraying contentment as less exciting or even like ‘settling’? It almost feels as if we’re wired to pursue the elusive, when true peace might lie in embracing a steady, contented state.
