Trump’s DOGE Got Access to the U.S. Banking System. And Nobody’s Talking About It

8 hours ago 2

While the media fixates on Minnesota’s ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’ (TDS) bill, something far bigger is happening:

Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)—led by Elon Musk—gained access to the Automated Clearing House (ACH) system, the backbone of U.S. direct deposits, payrolls, and federal payments. They’ve already used it to reverse a federal payment.

What Just Happened?

DOGE reversed an $80M FEMA payment to NYC using ACH, showing they can override government transactions. (https://www.axios.com/2025/02/18/doge-new-york-fema-banks)

A federal judge stepped in to limit their access, but the fact that they had it at all is alarming. (https://fedscoop.com/judge-blocks-treasury-payments-systems-from-doge/)

The Treasury Department’s inspector general is now investigating, meaning even officials are concerned. (https://apnews.com/article/treasury-inspector-general-audit-doge-musk-democrats-d1e2710d0b63f54a8c1fe50fe4f23d4d)

Why This Matters

1.) If they can reverse government payments, could private payrolls be next?

2.) The ACH system controls most banking transactions—this opens the door to financial manipulation at a national level.

3.) This could set a precedent—who controls financial transactions if politics and private interests get involved?

Meanwhile, the Media is Pushing Outrage Bait

At the same time, Minnesota introduced a ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’ bill, which was never meant to pass but designed to trigger outrage and steal attention. (https://www.revisor.mn.gov/bills/text.php?number=SF2589&session=ls94&session_number=0&session_year=2025&version=0)

Is this just a coincidence or are we (again) being distracted while real financial power shifts happen behind the scenes?
