Truly epic MLS tie 4/19: Portland Timbers v LAFC. Non stop action and drama. Finishes even on goals, fouls, and cards. Coach red. Rattled posts. Goal in last minute. Raucous singing stadium. Worth watching even if you don't watch soccer. Post is highlights, linked replay and related in body.

I've been a Portland Timbers fan since my first game in the general admission Timbers Army section, standing and singing for the entire game. I ordered a Mora #9 jersey, same kit they wore, and it arrived 10 minutes before the game yesterday. He scored a brace.

I'm also a Tottenham fan and watch a ton of Premier League to have something on. This was the most intense game I've watched in ages even if it's not the same player tier and it ends in a draw. I still love Lloris for obvious reasons but I've never been happier to see him fail while the Timbers backup keeper plays his heart out.

Misc videos to get a taste of being there for game day. I've seen a lot of European fan justified scorn for fan chants in the US but the independent Timbers Army brings it:

The team official ritual when a goal is scored. Involves real use of a chainsaw.

I can't find a video and it's definitely not official in any way to anyone, but when the ref is shit you get "oh referee, oh referee, take another bong hit" to the tune of "Oh christmas tree" started by the crowd, not the capos.
