Tired of the money/capitalistic system where to go?

I am reaching the point of having enough of this consuming society where everything is & revolves around money. I am thinking of just leaving everything behind & go to a place where I can just live without needing money or just live by simply without that need. I can’t really think of any place as pretty much the whole world is like that to a lesser or higher degree. I figure places like India would do but not sure I want to be like one of those gurus who give up everything and just leave out of the kindness of people there. I also don’t want to become a monk of any denomination. I am thinking more like a little village where one can live of the land & barter for everything else. Any suggestions of places, countries & how to go about it?
