They want us to hate each other.

Talk to your conservative family members talk to your liberal friends go out into public spaces, meet people. They want us at our keyboards arguing policy and blaming each other for our problems. There are no teams everybody's just people. flawed wonderful (if a bit stupid) people. If we come together to demand the things we deserve there is nothing they can do to stop us.
