Is it me or lately we lost hope in the future and replaced it with some kind of anguish?

Western Europe perspective here.
When I grew up in the 2000s I had a feeling of general hope and anticipation for the future.
My parents told me that at their times, besides the cold war tension, there was some hope in the human progress, that there would have been more wealth etc.
My granparents were busy rebuilding the continent after WW2, sure that they were grinding to create better times.
But now? I feel 3 main factors:

1) We lost hope in technological progress: most of us feel at some more or less conscious level that social media did us more harm than good and most of us fears that AI will be the same if not worse.
2) We feel that in the near future if there will be more wealth it will just be for the elites, but the average citizen will be poorer
3) We started to realize the downsides of globalization: even events far away from us can deeply and quickly affect our lives (a random virus from China, destabilization in whatever country in Africa or Middle east etc)

Or is it just me getting older and more cynical?
