as of writing this facebook produly promotes AI accounts on their platform tik tok was been banned by the U.S goverment for a few hours and fake news and propaganda is the highest its ever been and it seems like every popular app/website is trying to monopolize every feature the average consumer would want youtube now has shrots and games netflix has games and its own form of shorts and almost every app is trying to copy tik tok's success the internet that me and many other people grew up with is dead the internet is seeming less like a tool for free speech and unlimited potential of information and creativity and more like a soulless wave of corporate greed influencers and AI slop i do not think the internet is dying anymore the internet is dead and realistically was on this path for a long time if its this bad now imagine in the future where we wont have any privacy online won't have free speech anywhere and won't be able to discern between whats real and whats AI
