“I think” this book “may be” on the list for “one of my favorite” books of the year.
Your list can’t possibly be so long that you can’t sort through a handful and confidently say “yeah, this is one is a favorite”, or at least… “this is high on my list of favorite [genre/style] books”.
Too many reviewers and booktube types simply say things with way too many conditionals so that it’s all meaningless.
With that said, my top two favorite books I’ve read this year are: In the Distance by Hernan Diaz Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir
