I currently am reading Miroslav Krleža's 'The Return of Philip Latinowicz,' and reeling from it. The novel's exploration of alienation, disillusionment, and the protagonist's tortured search for identity struck me with a profound sense of dread, but also a feeling of deep philosophical engagement.
Has anyone else read 'The Return of Philip Latinowicz'? Did you also see the parallels with Dostoevsky and Sartre? I'd love to hear your thoughts and interpretations.
