No one seems to be noticing the detail of this scandal that matters the most. The messages didn't take place 12 hours or 2 days before the strike. It took place just 2 HOURS before the attack. Think about that. You have the entire senior cabinet debating a military strike just 2 hours before the operation with a journalist supposedly "accidentally" added to the conversation. Why?
I believe it is because 2 hours isn't enough time to write and publish a story. The strike would be over by the time Goldberg published the story it would have no impact on actions taken. So why do it? To me, the most plausible answer is that Trump wanted to take the spotlight away from the most consequential Executive Order he has signed since taking office, Voting Reform, which he signed just ONE day after the leak scandal.
The EO to reform voting rules is staggering in its scope.
1. Proof of citizenship is required to register.
2. All votes received after election date will be thrown away.
3. States must compare their voter rolls to federal rolls.
4. DOJ will prioritize investigation of election fraud.
5. Treasury will withhold funding if a state does not comply with these rules.
This EO is a MOAB to Democrats. They will never win another election if all this is actually enforced. However, the media and Democrats are all too busy talking about the Signal message leak to even care. They're like a cat chasing the laser beam around the floor. They're all busy screaming that the cabinet members should resign when then have zero power to impeach any of them. The leak had zero impact on the operation. Trump administration got what they wanted already by the time Goldberg published his story.
Am I as naive to believe 100% that the leak was intentional? Of course not. But I do believe that there is a strong reason to believe it was done intentionally.
