Odd doctor comments

Have you ever had your doctor tell you that your insurance isn’t that good? I used to have a doctor that had mostly retired patients that I’m sure were mostly on Medicaid or Medicare. I’m older, but still working and not on any medication. I noticed that at times he seemed annoyed or concerned that I didn’t need diabetes or blood pressure medication. Anytime I had any tests done, my insurance would “negotiate” a reasonable amount with his office. Yeah, I dropped him after the comment about my free, company provided insurance.
