I read Journey to the End of the Night by Céline earlier this year; it immediately became one of my favorite books. Currently I'm reading his second novel, Death on the Installment Plan, and am struggling through it. The plot is uninteresting to me. His prose is musical, but he goes on and on about subjects that I do not find interesting.
What am I missing? How can I start to enjoy the last 200 pages?
