Luigi Magione - My take on it and why I feel like the more we know, the less sense it makes.

None of it makes sense so far and the more I’ve learned, the more confusing it gets.

Tiffany Cianci has an amazing video on TikTok that does a really well detailed deep dive into Luigi and the Magione family. She explains his family history in health care and goes into detail a lot about Luigi’s intelligence noting that he was the valedictorian at a very prestigious high school (40k a yr to attend) and cum laude at an Ivy League school. She also notes his passionate philosophical views that to me seem to be very V for vendetta adjacent (great movie, watch it asap if you haven’t seen it) type personality/postings online. Stuff like an action should be deemed good if that action helps more people than it harms.

So his motive seems clear and everything all adds up so far right? But then you get into his “Manifesto”. It mainly chronicles his mom’s torturous battle with feet pain issues, the healthcare industry not being able to properly diagnose the root cause, and United making them overcome hurdle after hurdle to just apply for a $180k surgery claim and eventually still being denied. What confuses me the most about this and why I think the manifesto is either made up by Luigi or made up by someone else is because the Magione family is said to be worth 40+ million and lives in a mansion in the wealthiest part of Baltimore. I can’t imagine his mom would be left to suffer while waiting for $180k from United. I imagine a family of their status would have had the resources to pay the cost upfront and figure out the insurance side of it later. They also probably would have had the power to fight united with good lawyers and United would have approved the claim to avoid the battle.

Now we get to the most confusing part of it all, the McDonald’s. If he’s as smart as they say, why did he seem like he intended to get caught?

  1. He wanted to get caught? If so, why? He seems like he could have gotten away with it if he wanted and seems smart enough to have done so since he already got away with the hardest part.

  2. It was all planted on him. Again, seems weird. His family seems rich and powerful. I feel like if they wanted to frame someone, they’d have less of an uphill battle going after someone easier.

So out of these two options, let’s say he wanted to get caught. But if so, why is he seen yelling while being arrested that this is unjust and the American people won’t believe this?

Everything seems to be contradicting itself one way or another. My only possible idea at the moment until more comes out is that he is involved somehow and is playing an elaborate game with the police/system. This brings me back to the V for Vendetta scenario. Maybe something along the lines of this…He has a partner, the partner actually did the shooting. Luigi being smart enough to plant enough seeds to get himself caught, but has a rock solid alibi. All of this brings massive media attention to his cause while making the police system look incompetent.
