Life is inherently challenging.

I'm feeling completely burned out. I know I should be grateful—I have a comfortable home, a stable job, and supportive friends and family. But all the usual advice, the cliche reminders, just don’t seem to help. Meditation, exercise, journaling, hobbies, therapy, volunteering—they all feel like temporary fixes, like putting a bandage on a deep wound. They bring brief relief but no real, lasting change.

I’ve tried to dig deep, to uncover the root cause of this emptiness, but it feels impossible. It seems like the only way people manage to find happiness is by drowning themselves in distractions—social media, drugs, food, sex, or countless other things. It’s all just surrogate activities masking the fact that so many of us are living lives that feel hollow and temporary.

Everyone’s running from themselves, too busy to stop and reflect on how broken the world is and how much better it could be. Money dominates everything, and I feel trapped, unsure of how to make a meaningful difference without sacrificing my own survival. I’ve lost hope in a world so filled with hate—it feels like a nightmare.

I know I’m not alone in these struggles, and I’m desperately seeking a fresh perspective. Has anyone found a way to feel truly content in a society that seems so deeply flawed?
