I was watching a YouTube video and in that the YouTuber was talking about how life can be seen in both these aspects of being a marathon or sprints with rests but it will rely on you as a person.
I think it does depend on the person. Working hard for a certain time and resting is usually what people do when they go on vacations so maybe that is how life should be like. I myself challenge with the whole life is like a marathon and I end up in a ‘slump’ more often than not and I despise that feeling yet I am seen working hard to with no breaks the next month.
She also talks about how to go about this way perfectly. From why do you want to change. This has to be a solid idea so take your time and think about it. Why do you want to change what is your ultimate drive.
There are 4 main things to focus on when trying t get out of this slump.
- quality of content you consume.
With TikTok and other social media we see so much useless content that although we find funny sadly does not bring us value we could do this mindfully and tailor our fyp with things that bring us usefulness. As we are the content we consume.
- quality output Let’s say we consume or learn valuable content. Learning and no action is entirely useless as well. To go around this she mentions posting this new information somewhere like I am now will bro enforce this active learning. You could do this on any other platform and this can be only for you or even to share to others. This reinforces what you have learnt and is the key of fully comprehending an learning something.
“When we share what we learn we’re not just repeating what we learn but when we turn it in our own words we process it in our brains and that is where true learning happens”
Just start small.
- recovery
She mentions how whoop the watch is great for tracking yet it is pretty expensive. I’ve checked. There are other applications that could work out for you instead but you do have to track properly in order to be honest to your self as that is the hardest thing about being human. You usually are not honest with yourself.
“Sleep in not enough for recovery”.
If we do not see the actual data we may not ever make and actual change. Place closer attention to your recovery using any form of tracker this will help with change and recovery
- keystone habit Ties Everything together.
This is about proving to yourself you are something this will lead to everything clicking in. This is the backbone of all other habits. Commit to one habit she mentions working out as may people feel more motivated and we as humans are made to move. This has helped her personally working on getting out of her own slump.
I’d say really check it out it low-key has motivated me and she Provides so much valuable information on how actually change.
The video was called how to change your life is 6 months and not waste time.
