Liberals and Universities used to be against USAID and critical about the US government. Now they can’t remember their own past.

SS: It was only 10 or 15 years ago my very liberal university had whole segments of curriculum discussing the negative aspects of USAID, IMF, and the World Bank. My environmental and social justice courses all looked at these international funding schemes very critically. We discussed how they are used to develop poor countries for the wealthy countries benefit, and how very little of these projects actually helped the local populations. Even worse, they set up a system of reliance that undermined local resiliency and influenced political power because the politicians and bureaucrats that catered to these international organizations would gain and hold power to keep the dollars flowing to the influencing class.

Now it’s the rise of Nazis because USAID is being investigated. Add it to the list of things the Left used to stand against when both sides of the aisle had folks resisting the Establishment. Starting with Universities and the media they are re writing the liberal ideology, and have people so brainwashed they can’t see what they stood for only a few years ago. I feel like it has gotten so bad people don’t remember what was sooo important to them even a year ago. It’s just this mass effect parroting of what is in the news cycle. If we have no memory as a society we are doomed.
