It’s interesting how every person how their own reality

People see the world so differently from each other, it’s pretty fascinating. For instance I was browsing r/askfeminists on a post about male vs. female loneliness. Someone said that when a woman is lonely it’s a personal problem, and for a guy it’s a societal problem. I’m inclined to think it’s the opposite, but both views are equally valid, I suppose. For me, at least on Reddit, it seems like a lonely dude is always assumed to be at fault and just isn’t a good enough person to deserve love, whereas a struggling women is simply looking in the wrong places, or it’s men’s fault for being horrible.

I don’t want to invalidate the other perspective, like I said it’s totally valid, it’s just my experience differs. It would be nice if there was a little more nuance than lonely man bad, lonely women good. On the other hand, there’s the whole “young single men are violent” argument, which just… sucks. Statistic corroborate it, but it just doesn’t feel great to be reminded that you’re part of a group considered a “threat”. I just have to accept that I’m the least wanted demographic in society, and if anything active detriment.
