![]() | So this might be a stretch, but hear me out. Pope Francis passing away the day after Easter Sunday feels strangely symbolic. Easter is the holiest day in Christianity, all about resurrection and new life. And then the leader of the Catholic Church dies right after that? Part of me can’t help but wonder if he actually died before Easter, and the Vatican just waited to release the news until after Holy Week was over. They’ve always been pretty private when it comes to papal health. It wouldn’t be the first time the Vatican controlled the timing of major announcements to maintain a certain image or avoid disrupting sacred events. Think about it. If they announced the Pope’s death on Good Friday or Easter, the entire vibe of Holy Week would’ve shifted into global mourning. I’m not saying I know this happened but doesn’t the timing feel a little too perfect? [link] [comments] |
