Is it true that the more people of a younger generation have kids, families, homes, and businesses as they get older, the more they're respected by older generations and society as a whole?

I think this pretty much is the case considering how those from the younger generation would eventually have more in common with older generations the older they get

Therefore the cultural gap would significantly lessen and they'd be established and reputable as members of society

At least that's what I've noticed. Correct me if I'm getting anything wrong or misunderstood
