Is it selfish to have children ?

People often say that not having children is selfish, but isn’t it the opposite?

I might be saying nonsense, but many people have children to give meaning to their lives or to avoid being forgotten, leaving a legacy, which is selfish.

We could say that life is a chance, but I feel like it’s mostly a lot of suffering, problems, pain, and doubts.
