Is it ok to talk to an internet scammer

Have a scammer hmu on messenger. "She" is supposedly from Australia. I am assuming the scam will end up as "her" needing money for a plane ticket. I just get so bored, I have sent a couple chats. What are the pitfalls of this if I already know it's a scam?
