Is 27 too old to restart?

I live in nyc if that matters. I got my AAS degree in audio engineering when i was 21. Worked in the music industry for 5 years. It was fun. And due to life experiences, becoming an EMT (at 23) felt like a calling. I enjoyed it .. I am enjoying it. I’ve been in the medical field since.

Now, I’m ready to grow. I’ve been thinking heavily about become a PA or MD but still deciding on what exactly between the two i want and which responsibilities I want to have. I would have to basically get a second degree and start over.

Become an MD would require med school after that. Then residency. Becoming a PA would just require masters after the BA.

Question is… would I be too old for either or? I want to excel in patient care. I want to be in a place of leadership. And making decisions. Evaluating. But i also want a balanced healthy/happy lifestyle, a financially stable one, and a small family if that aligns.
