Interesting discovery regarding DC plane crash

I was checking the ADS-B data for the military helicopter involved in the crash this evening and the flight path started in the middle of a neighborhood which seemed strange to me. I had heard that the chopper was a VH-60 (used for vip transports) so figured maybe they were picking up/dropping off a vip at this location. I then checked google maps and saw that the location lined up with a large field behind a house, certainly big enough to take off and land from.

Then, I checked the property records and saw that this property is owned by the royal embassy of Saudi Arabia…

It is entirely possible that the flight data is not complete and this is just a coincidence but I just think it’s very interesting and haven’t seen this reported anywhere or heard anybody talking about it. (For obvious reasons, and even if it took off from there it is not a guarantee that a vip was on board)

I am not making any assumptions about whether or not a vip was on board but it is definitely a possibility. Figured I should share my findings because they could potentially have large implications.

In any case, this is a terrible tragedy and a bad day for aviation. Praying for all involved
